Class Description

This is a fun and engaging class designed for the therapist who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the intricate role the fascial system plays in shoulder dysfunction This class will consist of pertinent anatomy, common pain conditions and pathologies associated with the shoulder, fine-tuning of palpation skills, treatment techniques,  and plenty of guided hands-on practice. Students new to fascial therapy, as well as seasoned fascial therapists will leave this class having gained new perspectives and techniques they can immediately implement into their current practice. Students should dress comfortably and come expecting and prepared to do and receive hands-on work for the entire class.  Please bring a table, linens, and bolster. If possible, do not apply any lotions or creams the day of class.

Presenter Bio:

Amy Tortorici has been a massage therapist for 12 years. Before moving to NC in 2014, she was a massage therapist and kinesiology instructor, as well as a physical therapist assistant for nine years in IL. She has also presented CE classes on fascial mobilization and post-traumatic chronic pain
