Triad Unit Meeting – Layer-by-Layer: Fascial Treatment for the Lumbar Spine & Hips; TMJ & Headache Conditions

Class Description

This is a fun and engaging 2-day class designed for the therapist who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the intricate role the fascial system plays in dysfunction and pain conditions. Day 1 will focus on the larger body regions of the lumbar spine and hips; Day 2 will focus on finer palpation and treatment strategies for TMJ dysfunction and headache conditions. This class will consist of pertinent anatomy, common pain conditions and pathologies associated with the hips, lower back, TMJ, and headaches, while fine-tuning palpation skills, and most of all, plenty of guided hands-on practice. Students new to fascial therapy, as well as seasoned fascial therapists will leave this class having gained new perspectives and techniques they can immediately implement into their current practice.  Students should come expecting and prepared to do and receive hands-on work for the entire class.

Amy Tortorici

Amy Tortorici has been a massage therapist for 12 years. Before moving to NC in 2014, she was a massage therapist and kinesiology instructor, as well as a physical therapist assistant for nine years in IL. She has also presented CE classes on fascial mobilization and post-traumatic chronic pain.
