What The Cup!? Introduction to Cupping Therapy & Orthopedic Cupping for the Lower Extremities (16 Total CE Hours)

Day 1 – What the Cup!? Introduction to Cupping TherapyLearn how to use silicone cups in ways you never thought imaginable! What the Cup is a fresh look into the world of cupping therapy taught from an orthopedic perspective. Therapists will easily learn the basics of cupping including techniques for specific orthopedic conditions, the science behind cupping and injury, the superpowers of each cup, marketing for cupping therapists, application, documentation, safety and much, much, more!
 
Day 2 – What the Cup 4 – Orthopedic Cupping for the Lower ExtremitiesTake your cupping to new heights as you treat orthopedic conditions of the lower extremities! As part of the What the Cup series, What the Cup 4 builds upon foundational techniques and principles taught in the introduction class and combines them with intermediate and advanced level techniques for the treatment of specific orthopedic, lower extremity conditions such as plantar fasciitis, piriformis syndrome and hamstring strains.

 

These classes are approved by the NCBTMB for a total of 16 CE hours for NC LMBTs.

 

Location:  WNC School of Massage;  707 Haywood Road, Suite 001;  Asheville, NC  28806.

 

Each participant should wear comfortable clothing (possibly layers)

Participants need to bring:

  • Sheets 
  • Massage Oil/Lotion 
  • Facility will have Massage Tables for participant usage

 

Registration Fee:  $180 AMTA Member  |   $260 Non-Member

 

May 11-12, 2024
9:00 am – 6:00 pm each day with an hour break for lunch

“Volunteers and attendees will be required to adhere to the most current CDC recommendations as well as state, local, and venue requirements in effect at the time of the event.”

 

Cancellation Policies:

  • Must cancel 10 days or more from class date to receive a full refund. 
  • Any cancellations made between 5-9 days from class will receive 1/2 of the registration fee refunded. 
  • Any cancellations made between 2-4 days from class will receive 1/4 of the registration fee refunded. 
  • No refunds will be granted for cancellations made the day before class, on the day of class or are a no-show.
