2023 AMTA-NC Annual Meeting & Business Meeting

Greetings AMTA-NC Members and NC LMBTs!

We are very excited to get back to an in-person Annual Convention and Business Meeting for 2023!  This year we will again have a great line-up of Educational Speakers and Vendors!  We wanted to add a little variety to the food choices for lunch, so Food Trucks will be available from 12:00-2:00 p.m. each day!

For Students, we are working on coordinating a MBLEx review class as well as another Student Quiz Bowl led by Laura Allen Clayton!

We would like to also address that some of you may still be dealing with financial concerns due to COVID-19. With this in mind, we wanted to make this opportunity more financially feasible to everyone.  Therefore, please know that we will be offering a “partial payments” option at checkout on the payment screen of the registration program.  This will allow you to make payments in minimal increments of $50 until paid in full or by March 10, 2023, whichever occurs first.

We look forward to seeing you and hope that you will join us in Statesville in March 2023

The Solution Is the Sides: Approaching the Body from All Angles (14 CE Hours) @ WNC School of Massage
May 6 @ 9:00 am – May 7 @ 5:00 pm

The Solution Is the Sides:  Approaching the Body from All Angles (14 CE Hours)

Presenter: David Lobenstine

One of our most common habits is that we get stuck seeing our clients in just two dimensions—the body becomes just a back and a front.  The result: we get bored, and the client doesn’t get better. But there is a solution: approaching the body from the sides. We will keep the client in our typical massage positions—working prone, then working supine—but we will explore areas of the body that are often overlooked—namely, the lateral musculature, everything from the scalenes to gluteus medius to the peroneals. In this workshop, we tackle familiar client complaints, but from unusual angles, using unusual techniques.

This class is approved by the NCBTMB for 14 CE hours for NC LMBTs.
